Routine appointments can be booked up to two weeks in advance. To maintain continuity of care, we encourage patients to see the same doctor whenever possible, though you are free to choose any doctor you prefer.

Our booking systems / reception team will ask for a brief description of your symptoms to ensure you are booked with the most appropriate clinician.

Your appointment

However you choose to contact us, we may offer you a consultation:

  • by phone
  • face to face at the surgery
  • on a video call
  • by text or email

Appointments by phone, video call or by text or email can be more flexible and often means you get help sooner.

If you wish to speak to a doctor on the telephone please request this when booking your appointment.

Chaperones

Patients are entitled to have a chaperone present during any consultation, examination, or procedure if they feel it is necessary. This can be a family member, a friend, or a formal chaperone.

To avoid delays, patients are encouraged to request a chaperone when booking their appointment. In some cases, the healthcare professional may also request a chaperone to be present.

Home visits

Home visits are available for patients who are housebound or seriously ill. Please call 01933 396000 before 11am and ask to speak with the practice secretary. You will be asked to provide your details—name, address, telephone number, and a brief description of the problem—so the most appropriate clinician can attend. Our visiting clinicians include Nurse Practitioners, Community Paramedics and Doctors.

Whenever possible, we encourage patients to attend the surgery, where full examination and treatment facilities are available. Please note that home visits take significantly longer, and we are unable to provide an exact time for arrival.
